Molly grew up in Pennsylvania and started to perform professionally when she was a teenager in Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Her first production as a professional was The Snow Queen. Then, she played Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and was nominated to win a Barrymore Award. Molly was able to reprise this role when she made her Broadway debut at 15 in Into the Woods on Broadway in 2002. In the same year, she was nominated for an Drama League Award. Molly appeared in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof (2004). Molly then went to Princeton University where she was an active member of the Triangle Club and graduated in 2008 with an B.A. After that, she went to Princeton University, where she was a part of the Triangle Club.
